Trends of homelessness in Sacramento County are generally consistent with the broader patterns of homelessness in California. For example: • The high proportion of homeless found sleeping outside in Sacramento (56%) is consistent with California’s overall average of 66% unsheltered homeless. On Friday, National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day (HPMD), we honor those who have died while living without a home. This yearly memorial is commemorated on the first day of winter- the longest night of the year – as communities across the country remember those who have died without stable housing.Followers: 1.3K.
